Agave Syrup
The agave plant has been used mainly in the making of tequila in the 16th century. The drink was prepared by Aztecs. This was the first distilled liquid that was consumable by humans. This tradition has been carried on today and will continue to progress throughout the years.
The agave plant can be used anywhere from a sweetener to a cell phone case. Although there are imitation tequilas made in laboratories, the authentic tequila comes from an all natural agave plant which can be harvested from any five Mexican states (provinces) which the Mexican Agricultural Authority authorises to be used for agave planting purposes. The town of Tequila in Jalisco is one of the top tequila producing states in Mexico.
